What is a case assessment?
We will review the issue that you are dealing with and determine if we think our services will help you to get the results that you desire. If we think we can help, we will give you a proposed action plan and a cost estimate. Then you can decide if you want our assistance.
Do you guarantee that your service will produce the results that I want?
We cannot guarantee that the court, administrative board, or hearing officer will decide the issue in your favor. We will work as hard as we can to be sure that the information presented gives you the best chance for a successful outcome.
How do you charge for your services?
The cost of our service is based on an hourly rate with a specified cap. The cap prevents the cost from growing beyond your expectations.
Costs vary based on the complexity of the case, the estimated time needed to prepare the required reports.
We are happy to share our rate sheet with you or your attorney upon request.
We work to keep our costs low to accommodate clients represented by public defenders and court appointed counsel.
How do I pay for your services?
Services are paid through your attorney. Payment is received for some cases through the Court or from funds designated for Public Defenders.
Once an Action Plan has been agreed upon a portion of the estimated cost is paid to start the case. The balance is due upon delivery of the final report specified in the Action Plan.

Should I request your services directly or should I ask my attorney to contact you?
If you have an attorney representing you, then we would prefer to work on your behalf through your attorney.
We will work directly with you when you
- are representing yourself
- have a staff member representing you
- have a legal aid assisting you
Remember, we are NOT attorneys and we do not provide legal representation.
We are an information service. We provide information and reports NOT legal advice.

I am dealing with a prison issue in a different State. Can you help me or do I need to find someone in my State?
We often help people in other jurisdictions, including State and Federal institutions. In most cases a personal appearance is not necessary. The information and reports we prepare can be filed by your attorney, or your personal representative at the institution.
